MEDIA TEXTS AS THE MAIN RESOURCE OF LANGUAGE SOCIAL EXPRESSION AND LANGUAGE ENRICHMENT
Abstract
As the media space and its tools expand, they not only facilitate forms of communication but also enable socially close communication. Therefore, there is a member of every society who has a full understanding of media texts, which are a valuable part of the media space that surrounds him and, in some sense, controls him indirectly through information transmission. Moreover, from the point of view of linguistics, the study of media texts is a valuable source for the scientist who studies a language as a sign of social environment to observe its gradual development. In the article, these media texts are analyzed as linguistic units used to achieve the main goal expected from communication. There is no discourse unit in the status of a media text, considering that they correspond to modern trends, media texts essentially record any small changes in the language in the form of information. This feature can be the basis for creating a database, that is, diachronic corpora, in researching contemporary features of the language of the current or past time period from media texts. In the article, for the first time, the newspaper texts, which are among the most famous and ancient types of media texts, served as the main basis for creating a corpus.I It aims to highlight the features of media texts as a social expression of the language and the main resource of language enrichment. Content analysis, classification, description, comparison, and empirical analysis methods have been used to clarify the theoretical views, scientific facts, and critical opinions presented in the work.
