Abstract

The article is devoted to analyzing the peculiarities of the use of kinship terms in the texts of the Uzbek, Russian, and Spanish literary languages. Based on the material of fiction, official documents, and lexicographic sources, the following have been proven: a) the kinship terms of the Uzbek language from the point of view of origin (etymology) are common Turkic, Persian -Tajik, – Russian - Slavic, Spanish - Latin; b) kinship terms in the Uzbek language consist of a combination of words (compound nouns), and in Russian and Spanish they are formed using prefixes and suffixes; v) the kinship terms of the Uzbek, Russian and Spanish languages are similar in meaning; In terms of grammatical gender expression in Russian and Spanish, they are close, but different in the form (due to the absence of a category of gender in the Uzbek language). It is noted that bobo, buva ('grandfather', 'abuelo'), momo, buvi ('grandmother', 'abuela') (1), katta bobo, buva ('great-grandfather', 'bisabuelo'), katta momo, buvi ('great-grandmother', 'bisabuela') (2), bobokalon ('greatgreat-grandfather', 'tatarabuelo'), tatarabuelo ('great-greatgrandmother', 'tatarabuela') (3) do not mean old age, but show the vision of a grandson (1), great-grandson (2) and great-great-grandson (3).
