Abstract

This article examines Ulug‘bek Hamdam’s novel Ota with a focus on the writer’s skill in character creation and the stylistic and aesthetic features of the work. The study analyzes the image of the father as one of the central artistic figures through which the novel explores the relationship between the individual and society, moral responsibility, generational continuity, father – child relations, and inner psychological experience. Particular attention is paid to the artistic devices, descriptive techniques, speech characteristics, monologues, dialogues, and psychological details used to reveal the character’s inner world. The research also considers the role of internal conflict and artistic psychologism in representing the spiritual and moral dimensions of the father figure. Using psychological and descriptive methods, the article identifies the specific features of the artistic interpretation of the father image in contemporary Uzbek prose and evaluates its national, cultural, educational, and philosophical significance. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the ideological and artistic features of Ota and help define Ulug‘bek Hamdam’s place in the development of contemporary Uzbek literature.
