Abstract

This article analyzes the main research studies conducted on the stories by Alisher Navoi from 1960 to the present. The moral, socio-political, love and mystical themes of Navoi's stories, as well as thematic and ideological issues, artistic means and views on their literary value are examined. In this regard, N. Ganihojaeva's research dedicated to the 525th anniversary of Navoi's birth, especially her consideration of the stories in the context of the development of Uzbek Soviet literature in the 60s-70s, is especially studied. The views on the role of folklore and Persian-Tajik literature in the formation of Navoi's stories presented in this article are analyzed. It is noted that attention is paid to the diversity of topics such as labor, education, justice, patriotism and love. Special attention is paid to Navoi's artistic skills in creating images, using scenery, psychology, composition and subject matter. It is revealed that I. Sultan, Oybek, N. Mallayev, A. Abdugafurov, B. Murtazoyev and other scholars have studied the theme and composition of Navoi's works, demonstrating the poet's artistic skill and inspiration from his predecessors. These studies emphasize the importance of studying Navoi's stories from literary, religious and moral aspects, and they also reveal the poetic and individual approaches of the authors. Another series of works explores individual aspects: satire and humor (A. Abdugofurov), comparison with Khusrav Dehlavi's work "Hasht behisht" (B. Murtazoyev), symbolism in "Lison ut-tair" (Z. Mamadaliyeva), interpretation of the Quran and hadith, Sufi stories (O. Davlatov), poetics of "Khairat ul-abror" (N. Sharipova) and the genesis of "Saddi Iskandariy" (I. Ismailov). The influence of predecessors such as Attar, Rumi, Jami, and the importance of studying stories to understand the era are emphasized. Navoi's uniqueness in creating poetic stories with realistic elements is noted.
