“Foreign Languages in Uzbekistan” is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal and online portal established under the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 283 dated October 16, 2013. It is founded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek State University of World Languages.
The journal focuses on research in philology and related fields, including theoretical linguistics, language teaching methodology, translation studies, literary studies, culture, and journalism. It provides a platform for scholars to publish scientific results and share academic research.
Journal is published six times per year in a continuous online format, with no print version. All submissions undergo plagiarism screening and double-blind peer review. Original, previously unpublished articles are accepted in English, Uzbek, Russian, and other languages.
The journal is indexed in multiple scientific databases, including the Higher Attestation Commission of Uzbekistan, Google Scholar, Crossref, eLIBRARY, WorldCat, BASE, OpenAIRE, PKP Index, and others. Publication costs are generally covered by authors.
